TPN To Launch Fix It or Risk It Campaign at IBC Sept 2026

Security gaps across the media production supply chain remain widespread, and the threat is intensifying. As AI increases the speed, scale, and sophistication of attacks, Service Providers are struggling to keep pace.

Security gaps across the media production supply chain remain widespread, and the threat is intensifying. As AI increases the speed, scale, and sophistication of attacks, Service Providers are struggling to keep pace.

TPN's analysis of more than 1,000 Service Provider security assessments has revealed recurring gaps and slow remediation timelines. The numbers tell the story clearly: in Q1 2026 alone, TPN issued more security alerts than in all of 2025 combined.

In response, TPN is launching Fix It or Risk It, a non-commercial, public service campaign designed to help the production supply chain close critical security gaps faster, before they become tomorrow's headline. It has been developed alongside major industry players like the MPA (Motion Picture Association), ACE (Alliance for Creativity), NBCUniversal, Netflix, and the DEG (Digital Entertainment Group)

Highlights:

  • Goal: Close the growing gap between risk awareness and actual security preparedness in the media industry.
  • Format: Offers practical, free resources that turn security insights into direct actions.
  • Rising Threats: Recent TPN STAR reports and security alerts show a sharp increase in credential-based attacks, cloud misconfigurations, and delayed patching.
  • Common Weaknesses: The campaign focuses on fixing recurring issues like inconsistent multi-factor authentication (MFA) and compromised user credentials across third-party vendors.
